I am a graduate of the University of Oxford, having read for a degree in English Language and Literature. While I have an excellent academic track-record, I have always balanced my work with a wide array of interests. A keen sportsman, I was captain of the College 1st XV rugby team at Oxford, all the while directing plays, involving myself in charity work, and publishing many of my own poems in newspapers. As such I pride myself on being approachable and rounded, as well as academically successful.
Every summer for the past ten years, my family have hosted students on English language courses in Oxford. I was encouraged to assist these students with their homework, as well as develop their conversational English skills. Additionally, both of my parents are OFSTED-rated Outstanding English teachers with more than fifty years’ teaching experience between them. This means I have a wealth of first-rate teaching resources upon which to draw, as well as invaluable advice on planning lessons effectively, engaging students, and meeting differing educational needs.
