The 4P’s have been standard fodder in the global business world since the 1960’s. They are still as relevant today as they were the day they were created.
However, the world and business has evolved. The service (and non-profit) sector are not covered by this criteria.

The key elements of the extended marketing mix are:
People: The right people are essential to any business. They are representatives of the company and often customer facing. Some say the company’s biggest asset.
If you think of some of the most successful companies not only are they driven by key leaders: Gates, Zuckerberg, Branson, and Musk Jobs in his time. They also employ the right staff.
Staff have to be trained correctly and recruit in the right way from the right place. Passion, dedication, energy and enthusiasm are.
Processes: If the product is right and the price is right and you have the right peoples, all is not yet perfect unit you have the right processes.
Are your suppliers happy with you, do you get on with all your clients in the food chain.
How efficient the marketing is, can it respond to problems in real time. Does youroperations system actually work, do departments within the organisation work effectively with each other.
How does this transcend to the customer. How do they buy your product and are they happy with this process.
Are they served in a timely fashion?Without this very important element the perfect marketing mix cannot be achieved.
