BIOL5359 – World Changers: Precision Medicine Seminar Series Essay Guidelines
Assessment Overview
- You will write a structured essay relating to one seminar topic:
- Write a short critical literature review of the topic and outline what the future directions might be in that field with respect to precision medicine
- The essay contributes to 75% of the overall grade for this course.
- The essay should be approximately 1500 words and should contain around 20 correctly cited references.
The essay should take the following structure:

3 | Future directions in the field with respect to precision medicine | 500 |
4 | Conclusion | 150 |

Formative Feedback
- You will have the opportunity to receive formative feedback regarding any questions relating to the essay assessment prior to submission of the summative entry at the designated q+a session.
Summative Assessment Deadline
- Students should submit their summative essay by Monday 28thMarch 2022; 10pm on Moodle.
