Develop a security-awareness training session for a group of employees from the accounts and marketing departments

Security awareness training is a formal process of educating computer security to employees. The security awareness program will explain the procedures and policies for working with IT (Information Technology) (Huang  2013). It will help accounts and marketing department employees to contact the concerned person if they discover a security contact as they clearly know whom to contact. An uninformed employee is greatest threat to information security of a company. An employer can be threat by visiting malware infected websites, storing their information related to login on unsecured location, responding to phishing e-mails, leaking sensitive information.
Security awareness training ensures that employee is aware about and understands the practices, procedures and policies of company (Oliveira and Martins, 2010). The training includes copyright, file sharing, malware, phishing, password security, hoaxes, wireless network, desktop security, data handling and classification and security policy.  Security awareness training can be provided through classroom style training which provides interactive learning and lecture-based learning; creating a security awareness websites which could consist of different areas of security; supplementary helpful hints and tips with training whether online or class room training; etc.
The training content will include physical security which addresses locking drawers, doors or cabinets; Desktop security which includes password protected screen saver, locking and shut down computer; wireless network and security which addresses the tips to keep caution with laptop accessing wireless network; importance of firewalls (Hess, 2013); password security includes secure password, strong and hard to crack or guess password setting; avoiding phishing; preventing the spread of hoaxes etc.

An application which uses the website as front end is called as web-based application. Using a standard browser, a user can access the application form any computer which is connected to internet. For example, Google docs, web-based e-mails, etc.

Users access the system with a uniform environment i.e. web browser in web-based applications. The web-based application needs to be developed from a single operating system. It is not required to be tested for all configuration and operating systems. It makes troubleshooting and development easier.
Web systems are accessible anywhere and anytime through PC with internet connection which is not possible for traditional applications (, 2013). When a user accesses the application, it puts the user in charge.

In a web-based application, the user interface is customized easily than in a desktop application. This makes it easier to customize the presentation of information and update the feel and look of application.

Content is customized for presentation on varied range of devices apart from customizing content for user. It is easy to customize the information presented to user in web-based applications.
Improved interoperability
It is possible to achieve greater level of interoperability using internet technology based on industry wide standards (Niyato and Wang, 2013). Enterprise systems can be integrated by web-based applications to improve business processes and work flow.
Easier maintenance and installation
It is easier to install, maintain and access this application. The capacity of this application can be increased.

Impact of website that does not work is on business conversion and traffic. Thus, the website should be designed on the basis of objective of the organization. A website can be either visual or interactive. The website can be usable or persuadable. A website that does not work generally lacks a customized homepage. It is important for a business website to create homepage which establish brand (Niranjana, 2013). The various elements of a customized homepage are reference to brand, objective, clear terms, easy navigation buttons and content should focus on commerciality.
A website should be designed keeping in mind that it can be accessed on mobile also. Increasing use of internet on mobile has made companies to design a website to be accessible on mobile. A website that does not work generally has too many tasks on single page. Such a website is confusing and makes negative impact on visitor.
